Hi,
I cannot transfer playlists from the windows media player to my NW-E394. It transfers all the music files successfully, but without the playlists.
This works on my older walkman.
Hi there. Thanks for your post. We're looking into this for you now and will get back to you shortly.
Regards,
Pete.
Thanks Pete, looking forward to getting this resolved- the walkman is useless without being able to use playlists easily
Hi @craigs822,
You will need to install Media Go for this. You can find more information in the Help Guide, here: http://helpguide.sony.net/dmp/nwe390/v1/en/cover/level2_03.html
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Cass
Hi Cass,
is there no other solution? the playlist format on media player is a standard format and i use media player to interface with other things.
if i have to install specific software and keep track of music in two applications just to be able to use the sony walkman, i'll just return the walkman and buy someone else's device.
Regards
Craig
Hi Craig - not that I'm aware of.
@jumpsuit - do you have any advice or suggestions for Craig on this one?
Cheers,
Cass
Teleports in....
Hiya
What version of WMP is the member using?
Some have had trouble with version 12.
If its not that, I saw that someone had managed to solve the problem
on what looks like the same Walkman by formatting it through
Settings - Common settings - Format.
This of course will delete everything on the Walkman but as the member's playlists are saved in WMP
they won't lose them.
The person then reinstalled their music / playlists fine.
Hope this helps, if not let us know
Hi, thanks for the response.
I am indeed using WMP12, i'm not sure of a way to roll back to 11 (assuming i can find an 11 download) without a full uninstall and losing my libraries/playlists anyway.
i tried the format suggestion, unfortunately no luck
Regards
Craig
Hi again
Thanks for gettimg back to me
Thanks also for trying the format.
I was hoping you wouldn't say its WMP12 as I can't rule that out as being a problem.
Users have had trouble with version12 generally, not just with Walkmans.
There are tips online how to, but there is no official way to roll back WMP
and methods I have seen involve using files provided by 'internet strangers'.
(With disclaimers too.)
I can't in all conscience point you towards them but if you're brave then Google will help you.
I appreciate you may not want to but did you try Media Go as Cass suggested?
If not then sadly I'm out of ideas and the best bet is to contact Sony support.
