Why did Sony have to cap the volume on this device? It so low!
When you turn it on the volume is at 50 but to get a nice listening level I have to up the volume to aleast 80-85 which then gives me warn beeps. So annoying!!!!!

Hi,
Recently bought a (nw a35) mp3 player. I have a AC-NWUM50 charger which I used on an older mp3 player and wondering if this will work on my new player without any ill effects as i'am on holiday soon and do'nt intend taking a computer which as far as I can see is the only way to charge. Many Thanks.

Have you tried charging it via your smartphones charger or a powerbank?

I am now VERY HAPPY with my NW A35 after uncapping the volume to USA settings.
Now when I turn it on and start listening to music, I only have to raise the volume to 60 instead of over 80 and the sound is rich, full and all enveloping.
Google : SonyNWDestTool
It only took a couple of minutes to do following these instructions.
Glad you got it sorted
The link you provided though doesn't show
any instructions.
@jumpsuit just click on the link on that page
But i think it's better to remove the link. As an official forum, it goes against the policies
Srcoll down to Changing destination settings and sound pressure regulation and you'll be good to go.
