My WH-1000XM2 wireless headphones keep cutting out

My WH-1000XM2 wireless headphones keep cutting out. They didn't at first, but have started cutting out for a second every 10/20 seconds or so, which is very irritating. Any ideas why this is happening or what I can do to stop it please?

Hi @Sallypee and welcome to the Community

I think the first thing to try would be to reset the headphones to factory settings to see if that helps.

Have a look Here for instructions.

If not try some of the other steps in that manual regarding sound skipping

Here

Hope this helps.

Hi

I have tried the method described i.e holding the power button and the NC/Ambient button simultaneously with the power off and it did not work, i changed the headphones and the new pair have the same problem, they are now going to the Sony service centre hopefully for a fix!

I have always used Bose headphones in the past but the sound from the M3's is amazing and better than the latest Bose!

Shame about these problems!!

I find mine really annoying if I’m walking. They keep cutting out. Only for a second or two. Does anyone know if I’m missing something or not set these up properly? TIA

It may be the adaptive sound control setting. It detects motion and switches over. I had the same issue. The notification bleep and a drop of sound occurred constantly. You can turn this off via the app.
