Although your HM65 chipset will support USB 3.0, I can't think of an easy way to upgrade your VPCEJ1Z1E.

If you had an ExpressCard or PCMCIA card slot you could  buy a USB 3.0 expansion card and software but I don't think your Vaio has this slot - it seems to have fallen out of favour recently.
