Trying to download IE8 or IE9 (beta)

Hi,

I just purchased a Vaio laptop which seems to push Google Chrome as my primary browser. I tried to download IE8 but couldn't. Then tried downloading IE9 (beta) but system says I already have a more up to date version and would not continue? Any suggestion on how I can get IE8 or IE9 (beta)?

Hi ciohara and welcome.

There is a possibility that IE8 is already installed on your system.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Programme Files\Internet Explorer. If this folder exists then locate iexplore.exe and double click on it – this will launch Internet Explorer.

To create a shortcut right click on iexplore.exe and select ‘Send To’ – Desktop (create Shortcut).
