sony vaio intervideo windvd bd

Hi there,
I recently bought a Windows 7 PRO from Tesco.
I installed it on Vaio VGN-FZ21M and it works perfectly much better then old Vista home Premium.
But there is one big problem?!!?!? HOW I can get intervideo windvd bd and recording software?
I remember having them on Vista - but dont have any installation discs etc.?! I tried sony support website and nothing 😞
Is that mean Sony dont care about customers who wants change OS?
Does anyone can help me please?

Hi Tom and welcome.

You should have bought an Upgrade version if you wanted to keep your existing software.

The manufacturers of software like Intervideo or Roxio will not allow their software to be installed for free on anything but the Sony operating system. The license they provide is only as part of the Sony OEM installation. So it is not Sony that prevents you installing this software.

If you choose to do a clean installation it would be illegal for Sony to provide this software free for anyone to install. For this reason you will have to find alternative software yourself for these tasks - either that of reinstall Vista and upgrade to Windows 7.
