I connect my vaio FZ 21M to a monitor viewsonic VX2435 with the HDMI interface.
There is always a scaling problem : the windows display is larger than the screen; the image is not all visible.
I have loaded NVIDIA drivers 7.15.11.128 found on the sony website but it did not solve the issue.
Do you have a solution ? Thanks in advance !!
I have preciely same issue FZ21Z model - through HDMI. The image is slightly bigger than the screen allows.
The nvidia control panel also does not seem to allow 1080i as well.
Hoping for a solution - I will keep researching
Maybe your TV is not HDCP compliant...
Look this...http://www.hdmi.org/learningcenter/faq.aspx
Have you installed the nVidia Video Driver 070830 patch from here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/updates/updates.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&c=0&s=VGN-FZ&m=2822
Hi;
- Yes I did install all updates that I could find on the sony website...
- my monitor viewsonic VX2435 is indeed supposed to be HDCP compliant. The issue (windows desktop bigger than screen) happens not only for movies but for all windows display in general. This is my problem now. Are there many of you having the same problem ??
FYI. I had also a problem for reading the spiderman 3 blue-ray disk but that problem was solved installing the driver updates found on the sony website.
Yeah, I have a FZ21Z and LG Monitor/TV and have the
exact same problem. The scaling options have zero effect too.
I installed non-official drivers from,
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
which fixed this problem, so it's definitely the drivers
which are inadequate. I'd raise the problem with Sony
support to ensure that it's recorded as an issue.
