Matshita UJDA 730 DVD/CDRW

I need a new driver and/or firmware for my combo DVD/CDRW Matshita UJDA 730.

I can´t find it anywhere.

It only read DVD´s and no more longer CD´s and it can´t burn.

Could anyone help me please ??

The drivers for your optical drive are Windows native drivers and you therefore do not need new ones. As there is no firmware update available for your model on Vaio-Link I am afraid that is also a non starter.

I suspect that your problem is hardware related as the symptoms are very common for the Matshita UJDA 7xx series. The only thing I can suggest is to uninstall the drive from Device Manager, re-boot and let Windows re-install the drivers.

To me, it sounds like a hardware fault, and I would suggest getting in contact with Sony to arrange repair. There seems to be real problems with the drives used by Sony at the moment...

first i get to try the reinstalation
if it should not bring anything, I will have myself to buy a new drive assembly.
