LAPTOP BLUE RAY TO HD TV

I HAVE PURCHASED A VGN-FW21E LAPTOP (FEB 2009).WHEN I TRY TO PLAY BLUE RAY DISC'S VIA LAPTOP TO HD TV VIA HDMI LEAD,THE DISC STARTES UP THEN TELLS ME IT IS PROTECTED?
DO I HAVE TO UPGRADE THE BLUE RAY DRIVERS OR WHAT? WHEN DISC'S ARE PLAYED THROUGH THE LAPTOP THEY PLAY OK.
ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Are you getiing the "Your display environment does not support protected content playback." message.?

If so this appears if you are trying to displaying your Blu-Ray movie on both your TV and Vaio..

Have you tried pressing the FN & F7 key and selecting HDMI only, you can only watch blu-ray movies on either your Vaio or TV not both together.
