HELP ME PLEASE!!

hi i have a sony vaio PCG-GR314MP laptop computer which i bought from a friend therefore no warranty and has worked so well up to now. A few days ago i tried to start my laptop but it wouldnt start! The power light goes on along with the other 3 but then promptly goes off.

I have tried changing the memory using my other computer (identical) as a donor, and that doesnt help. I have also tried all the batterys i have plus different power supplys and have even resorted to removing the hard drive BUT IT DOESNT WORK!

Does anybody know how i would go about fixing this please!

Have you tried a single memory module in each slot?

This could be any manner of hardware problem so unfortunately I think that you will have to find a local notebook repairer. Try Techno-mart - no fix no fee.

If you have all (Both?) memory slots occupied try one stick of memory in one slot, If that doesn't work try one stick in the other slot.

Could be the dreaded memory socket problem.

Sounds like a motherboard issue to me
