General Battery Issue

i dont know if i am being paranoid but i feel like my battery power is pants! when im unbplugged and on half screen brightness i seem to have only 1 and half hours if that? does anybody else have this problem? Also when i charge my vaio, after two hours my battery LED on the front pannel stops flashing. does this mean its fully charged? confused!!!!
Any help would be appreciated. PS i have a VGN-FZ38M

If you are noticing battery life is very short (eg less than 10 min) in whatever condition and computer+battery are not older more than 6 months, Sony replaces battery FOC.
