Can I just check if the above Vaio does now come with a Blue Ray disc drive? The reason I ask is I don't think it does however there is a sticker which says "FULL HD 1080"...would this not mean the laptop has a BD drive.
I d'ont think so...

Hi leethepee,
no unfortunately the FZ18M does not have a Blue Ray drive..
so whats the point of a HD screen?
It hasn't got a HD screen either! The maximum screen resolution on the FZ18M is WXGA 1280x800 (X-black).
Most Vaios are capable of processing HD Video if you import it from a HD HandyCam. 1080 HD refers to the fact that the FZ18M has a HDMI output capable of exporting a 1080i output to an external screen capable of a HD resolution of 1920 X 1080.
Only the 17 inch VGN-AR "S" series of Vaios have a HD 1080 screen (1920x1200). No Vaio with a screen smaller than 17" has a HD screen.
