connecting wii

Hi all,

Just let my daughter use my VGN-A417S in her room. Can she connect her wii and play it through the computer has she as no tv in her room? If so what connections do i use, can i just plug the red white yellow connecter in?

Don't quote me as I don't have an A-Series Vaio!

Yes, if you connect the Composite Video (Y), Audio L (W) and Audio R (R) to the TOP set of plugs on the port replicator, All Programs -> Vaio Zone -> Vaio Zone Setup and go to TV Channel Settings and Scan for Channels, the Wii should show up as a new TV channel = AV1.

Open the TV and select this AV Channel to view the output ..............

............ I hope!

The only problem may be the degree of latency in the TV Card System - there may be an annoying delay that could make playing games a tad more difficult!!
