Hi
I have just purchased a Vaio VGN-NR38E. I have a VGA port on my laptop and have a S-Video cable to my TV . Can I purchase a VGA to S-Video converter to use my TV as a display?
Also what software will I need or does the Intel Graphics media centre detect my TV?
Cheers
Eric
Hi Eric.
Welcome to Club Vaio.
In order for the VGA to sync with your TV S-Video input, you will need a converter box. The cables alone will not work.
Something like this will do: -
VGA to S-Video Converter
Google (and Amazon) will find many more at about the same price. No additional software should be needed.
You will also need a 3.5mm Stereo jack to 2 X RCA to carry sound from your headphone socket to your TV.
Cheers for that
I really apreciate your help!
Eric
