Clean Vista install on FZ31S

Hi

I decided to do a clean install of Vista Home premium on my FZ31S as i couldn't completely get rid of the bloatware and had lost my recovery Cds anyway. So i've managed to do this except that i can't get my S1 button to work. Whatever drivers/sony applications i couldn't download from UK sony, i managed to get from Sony Asia:

After installing "setting utility series.exe" this extracts the files to c:/sony and there is an .exe file there which apparently lets me assign S1, but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
