1327 error and invalid drive G:\

Hello I am trying to download latest iTunes and am getting an 1327 error saying I have an invalid G drive. I also get this message when I try and add any new programmes! Does anyone know what this means and more importantly does anyone know what I can do to rectify the problem. Many thanks

Hi Tom and welcome to Club Vaio.

You have a Registry problem - probably caused by using a digital camera data card with a default drive letter.

To correct the problem, you need to delete all iTunes references to drive G:\ in the Registry.

You would be wise to back up your Registry first - just in case!! Create a Restore Point.

Start -> Run and type in REGEDIT and press ENTER

Choose EDIT then FIND.. and type G:\ in the search field and make sure you select the DATA box.

Delete everything that it finds. Although for safety's sake you may prefer to delete only things with with iTunes in it like 'G:\.....My Music' or 'G:\......My Tunes'. You will probably only find a couple.
