I’m trying to update my Bravia 8 with a usb cause the latest update isn’t downloading itself on the tv.
i have downloaded the zip file on the Sony website and then extracted the 3 files and put them onto the usb. They are the only files on the usb. The 2 zip files and one dep file as it says on the website.
I put it into the tv and it says updating software. Great! Or so I thought. Waited the 30mins and the tv restarted but then I took out the usb and checked to see if I have the new software and nope old one still there.
whats going on? What am I doing wrong?
any thoughts/advice?
