Sony KDL-40EX500 light sensor

I have a Sony KDL-40EX500 and I am pleased with the quality of the picture. Since most of the time when watching TV I spent in a half or full darkened room, do you recommend turning off  light sensor?

Light sensor is great but for this situation (summer with direkt sunlight), I think is better to turn off

Can anyone give me a recommendation for fine tuning?

Whether the return to the factory settings will delete saved channels

much better to leave the light sensor off, its just a gimmick really,

if you do a factory re set you will have to do everything from scratch but its really simple to do.
