Ps3 slim hdd as a usb hard drive for Sony tv

I was wondering if I got a caddy for my 2.5 ps3 slim hard drive and used it as a hard drive to store videos to playback on my sony 55w805a tv. Would this tv support usb 2.0 or 3.0 caddy?

Yes this will work but make sure it don't need a 2nd connection for power IE 2 usb plug one for data one for power. I'm using Icy Box IB-231.

I this the tv use USB 2.0 but the above is USB 2 and 3.
