no sound at my sound system

hey all.

i want to discuss a problem that i have,

my SONY Bravia KDL-46EX402 is connected to a Pioneer sound system throught an HDMI cable.

i defined my Pioneer sound system to obtain sound from the TV (my Bravia) and defined my tv to use my sound system speakers (not the built in TV speakers).

after definning those options i have connected a usb to the tv port just to see videos but there's no sound at the movie.

does someone knows what option should i choose to hear voice over my pioneer sound system??

Does the sound work via the amp speakers when watching TV/DVD and other inputs? If it does then it sounds like something needs changing on the Pana?..
