Bravia KDL40U2000 how to turn of analogue

I want to turn the hdmi channel on to be the default channel, so when I turn the tv on it goes straight to this channel. I only have cable and no ariel so it is a bit annoying. can anybody help. Many thanks

if you are watching a source from HDMI and switch off your tv, then the next time you switch it ON it should go to the last source you was watching... is that what you have?

Hi,

the question is vague at best and you will need to take analogue out of the equation,

this tv is one of Sony's budget range with the usual selection of inputs however it is unlikely to support auto switching to HDMI and at best will need to be input manually to the desired soarce which in this case sounds like the virgin media box (cable)
