Problem with latest OS update (Gingerbread OS 3. something)

Hi people,

I have this problem when I use PC companion to do the update. Everything goes fine until the 2nd step, then I get an error message saying: "unable to install phone update componenets' (or something like that). Anyone has this problem?

forget about PCC use Update Service

and if you still have an error then reboot your computer on safe mode then run Update Service

Hey uliwooly!

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I tried Update service instead and it worked!!!! Seems like PCC is redundant then haha. I also feel that PCC is lousy for transferring files. Do you reccomend using media go or media sync? Which is better?
