Battry Problem

Hi,

I using Xperia Ion LT28H for 6 months. Already updated Jelly Bean in January. Now all on a sudden it's giving me pain. It restart automatically once in a day, specially during night. Also it's comsuming battery power more than ever. I have to plug in for for charging three times in a day. It takes atleast 2 or 3 hours to obtain it's full charge.

I have checked all settings to find the problem. Like Apps, Wireless, Bluetooth, GPS, Mobile Data, Location Settings etc. All option are disable. Even though "Extended Standby Mode" is enable. Also under "Deloper Option" Don't Keep Activities and Background Process Limit are given to Standard Limit.

Under "Power Management---Battery---> shows that "Call Standby" consuming 35% battery power more than any other process.

Even though I only use specific charger which comes with the handset during purchasing time.

Please help me out from this Battery Problem.

Thanks

Md. Tanvir Hossain

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

What is listed under settings > power management and battery?

You can try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

If the problem persists in safe mode, try to reinstall/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone".

Unfortunately it's not possible to see which app causing the behavior in your phone. My best recommendations is to uninstall one at the time until the behavior stops.

Hello Everyone,

Finally got the problem. When change network Mode from WCDMA (Preffered) /GSM to GSM only battery draining reduce by 70% than before.

You can change it under Under Settings ---> More ---> Mobile Network Settings ---> Network Mode --->GSM only.

I hope this solve the problem those who are using Xperia Ion LT28H.

Thanks

The companion is a total waste of time since backup is not possible. Spend hours getting it to work. No more Sony for me...
