I know this has been discussed around the forum, yet I haven't really found any practical solution to the next problem.
I've recently bought an Xperia P phone (a UK version). I'm still in my "10 days" return period, although I did use the phone (not enough to wear it or wear its accompanying equipment).
Ever since I bought it I noticed a small air bubble within the transparent plastic strip. I'm talking about the strip which separates the aluminum unibody and the small plastic part below the phone.
The bubble is placed near the back button (at the left of the strip) and it does not affect the button in any way. The way I see it, it can only aesthetically challenge the phone, since the button sensors can't really be affected. The bubble itself is placed near the strip containing the button pictograms and it is inside the plastic part. When pressed harder, the bubble temporarily restrains or disappears.
It doesn't bother me too much, since it's not that visible, but I want to know if I can send it to service or replace it and if this is a good reason to do so. I really like the phone in every other aspect. I've seen people who claim the device is ''faulty" and others who insist there's no problem with it.
A user encountered a similar problem and I will link to his picture, since he owns the same model as I do and the bubble is in a similar position (although mine is smaller and less visible): http://talk.sonymobile.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-257374-14867/20120730_194948%5B1%5D.jpg
Thank you.

Ok guys, thanks for the answers. I've spoken to the vendor. They could give my money back or try to fix the band themselves. They can't provide a replacement since it's not a "technical glitch" and they don't have it in stock right now.
At this point, getting my money back would be useless. Other stores have significantly increased the price of the model (around 20%) and I really like the phone. So...welcome, Mr.Bubble
As an idea (in case an actual Sony official answers): The phone was bought from Romania, although it's an international/UK version.
You should be able to return it as it is damaged on arrival. Mine has this bubble too on the same spot but it doesn't bother me, i already got frustrated from the first and took them 1 week to replace it as they were out of stock. I just accepted it as it is, all the other functions are working on the Phone.
Thank you for the answer. The thing is, I hear this is a pretty common problem and I wonder if it is worth the hussle. Has the bubble advanced much?
Not a single millimeter :smileyhappy:.
Give it a try if it bothers you back at the store you bought it!
well even i have d same prob.. and as reported by oder users it does spread like in my case .. it has spread all over the strip however the butns wrk absolutly fine so i dint take it to the service centre..
