With our new app, Sony Headphones Connect, it’s even easier to control Sony’s wireless headphones.

What does the app do?

Headphones Connect lets you customise your listening. You can use it to adapt noise cancellation and sound modes to your preferences.

Once the app is installed on your smartphone, it’s quick and easy to connect to your headphones. Then you can control features like noise cancellation and sound adaption via the app.

Tailor your noise cancellation preferences

Enjoy simple controls for our advanced Noise Cancellation settings. They can automatically optimise based on your environment or activity (e.g. walking, road travel, plane travel, different atmospheric pressures). They can also adapt to personal characteristics like wearing glasses or a hairstyle that alters the position of your headphones (WH-1000XM2 only).

Customise sound settings

Adjust the bass levels or choose from pre-sets that recreate outdoor-stage, club, hall or arena style sound. You can also control the surround mode, equalizer and sound position control (which lets you choose the direction the sound comes from).

You can also switch on DSEE HX™, a technology that’s unique to Sony; it ‘upscales’ sound files like MP3 to near high-resolution sound quality.

Works with different devices

Control pairing with different devices (including multiple devices at the same time), battery level display and call features (vibration on/off).

Which headphones models are compatible with Sony Headphones Connect?

2017 models: WF-1000X, WH-1000XM2, WI-1000X, WH-H900N, WH-H800, WI-H700, MDR-XB950N1, MDR-XB950B1. If in doubt, look for the Sony Headphones Connect logo on the product box.
