Sony Bravia TV showing that a USB drive is connected, even though its not.

I finished watching a movie from an USB drive and removed it. Then I noticed that it still says that it is connected.  It says that there isn't anything on there. Then I tried to insert my USB drive, but it's still saying the same thing, so now I can't even use it..

What I tried: 

- Using another USB port;

- Formating the USB drive;

Which TV do you have?

(You may have already), but have you tried powering off the TV and then reinserting and removing the stick

and checking again?)

I have the KDL-40WE660

I might try to do a factory reset, that might help

I bought a smart Sony Bravia about 5 yrs ago, and not quite using it because having the problem with connecting it to Wifi. My friend told me if I do not use this time, it might be obsolete, or the chips will not working later...Is this true?

Which TV do you have?

Have you tried a reset and reinserting / removing

the usb drive again?

I did a factory reset and it fixed it xd
