HDMI ARC not working

I have a Sony KDL-850W65A television connected via an hdmi cord to a Sony HT-CT260H soundbar . I have the cord plugged into the appropriate ARC slots, but am not receiving any sound. I am also unable to use the Bravia sync as it says it won’t work in the current mode. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @Robbocop7,

did you try another cable? Not all HDMI-cables support ARC.
