I have received the following message after trying to claim my £80 cash back.
“After validation we have noticed that
you have sent us the online order confirmation instead of the invoice.
Based on this information your participation is unfortunately no longer valid. To rectify the situation please send us the correct invoice in reply to this e-mail within the next 10 days.”
The document I sent Sony clearly states “Invoice” and fulfills the requirements set out in the terms and conditions.
is there a phone numbrt I can ring? Anyone else challenged this?
Hi @Simonbe80, welcome to the Community.
Sony do seem to be very specific about the documentation for these claims, but they will honour your claim if you submit a proper tax invoice. This has to be sent to you by law from the retailer, so if you bought it online it will likely be attached to an email somewhere.
If you're sure that's what you have already sent, call Sony Support on 02073652810 during office hours and they will help you get the claim moving again.
