Charging Ereader

My reader PRS-350 will not charge while plugged into electric socket but using same connection it will charge through the computer. Any idea what is wrong?

Presumeably you are plugging your USB lead into an appropriate  USB 3-pin charger adaptor ? Or is it a dedicated Sony charger plug ?

If the same lead charges via PC, but fails via mains, the adaptor's the problem.

Try your phone charger, sat nav, etc... to see if that works - but NOT if it's anything of an Apple persuasion. The two don't like each other !  You can check with either the manual or Suppport online to see if the parameters are near enough to do the job, but a TomTom charger works, and some Samsung ones.

That'll confirm if it is your adaptor. Some of the cheaper imports of ebay/Amazon elec adaptors aren't much cop - waits for deluge of owners who've used one successfully since birth.......:smileyplain:

Is it possible to buy an adapter converter where you can use the USB port to it and be able to charge it in an outlet?
