HOW TO TRANSFER INTERNAL MEMORY PHOTOS?

Dear Sony,

I took some photos with my DSC-RX100 without a SD card, so i imagine the photos are stored in the internal memory??

However , when i connected the camera to my computer and opened it as a drive, it does not show any photo files !!. it just shows the pmhome.exe file, "info" and "liscence" folders.

Please help me retrive the photos.

Hi MONIMAS

unfortunately I've got bad news for you... The DSC-RX100 does not feature an internal memory and the pics you took without SD are not saved anywhere and cannot be retrieved.

I made this painful experience with a TX9 before, when I thought I shot a great video, but at the end I found out that I left my SD card in my laptop and never put it back into the camera....grrr

Always make sure that memory card is inserted, otherwise NO CARD will be displayed on the LCD. When a card is inserted or the camera features internal memory, you will get the number of recordable pics displayed on the LCD.

Best regards

Jules

Thanks for your reply. Indeed,  bad news!  Those picures were of the progress of a work project, that changes everyday, so no chance to re-shoot.

This DECEIVING DSC-RX100 camera showed me a PREVIEW of the pictures for 2 seconds. Which led me to believe they were being stored. What a  usability error from Sony !! The camera shutter should get locked automatically when there's no card AND display "No memory, insert card".  Panasonic cameras do that, so the user is made aware that no pictures are being taken.

Plus there's no info in the Sony website or camera manual about the RX100 total lack of internal memory !!

I'm furious!!
