Tvs remote sensor hidden by centre speaker
Is there a way of getting the remote to work the TV by adding an external sensor to the TV as ( the sensor ) is hidden / obscured behind my centre speaker.
It works if i bounce the signal from my remote of the rear wall behind the settee, with my arm extended at an angle which is not perfect 🙂
Obviously the IR blaster is to control other device via the TV / remote so that's doesn't help me in any way
I have tried searching but cant find anything
Any advice greatly appreciated, even if it a..... Nope your not going to find a solution

Hi,
I would use a remote extender like e.g.:

Cheers

No, they do the job you want.
Put the IR receiver in front of your centre speaker, where it will ‘see’ your remote when you use it, and the IR transmitter behind it, where the sensor on the TV can ‘see’ that.
Then, when you send from your remote, the receiver will pick it up and relay it to the transmitter, which the sensor on the TV will now ‘see’ the signal from.
