Sony Bravia KD-65XH9505

Iplayer will only work through YouView. 
selecting iplayer from Sony Select Menu gives a blank screen. 

I have tried resets etc but still does not work. 
Sony software is up to date. 

Factory reset does work but iplayer fails again after a few hours.

@DavePortland, try to unplug it from the mains and plug it back in after 2 minutes.  

Make sure this is the software version on the TV v6.5076, try to force stop the app, then do a soft reset and enable it again.

Yes I have tried all that and Software is up to date. 
factory reset fixes problem but it comes back the next day, presumably as updates are applied.

I'm having the same trouble, there are other posts relating to the same issue here. It seems there are many people with the same issue.

I'm not sure how to force stop the app or find the version number.

I've tried all the other things and none of it works.

@DavePortland, Can try to use different source of internet like your mobile hotspot, use LAN if you're using Wi-Fi, if the issue remains you should contact the support team

 

@welshmark, the link above shows how to check the current version step by step if you have the same model. Follow this to force stop the app: Home - Settings - Apps - Select the app - Clear data - Clear Cache - Force stop.
