@KeithWG

This TV, at least in its J version, is not described as supporting Freesat:-

It does support satellite input, but Freesat is a specially curated satellite EPG which not every such TV provides.

Do you have any documentation to the contrary?

Satellite capability is not Freesat.

Freesat provides a curated set of satellite channels from a particular satellite, free, UK-based, and not encrypted, plus an EPG that lists the programmes on these channels for the coming week.

It is designed as a close relation of Freeview, but delivered over satellite and received on a dish, rather than sent from a transmitter and received over an aerial.

Satellite provides a list of the channels coming from a selected satellite, in no coherent sequence, in English or in a foreign language, free or paid for, in clear or encrypted, and only giving Now and (immediately) Next programme information.

You would normally winnow this list down to the ones you are interested in by making a Favourites list.

If you switch your TV to the Satellite input, to which you have a dish connected via a coaxial cable with F type connectors, tune it in, and get such a list, this is all a TV without Freesat can do.

If you don’t get anything at all, though, then you may need a replacement LNB (Low Noise Block), especially on an ex-Sky dish, as the Sky LNB isn’t always compatible. See a local aerial specialist if this is the case, and you do want the Now/Next satellite channels.

If you have a dish, working or that you can get working, and you really want Freesat, then you can get an external box, recording or non-recording, that will plug into an HDMI port on your TV and give you this:-
