Bravia Smart TV and Plex not working any more

Hi,

I have a Bravia smart TV and a Plex server. On all devices Plex works correctly except on the Bravia in which it gives me "impossible to connect to server" after 20-30 seconds I open the app.

Wireless is working fine since other apps as YouTube and so on works well also on FullHD.

Plex server is working fine on all other devices.

I think this issue is experienced by everyone with a Bravia Android TV. The Plex app doesn't even playback HD 720p HD files. It just stutters then freezes completely!

Used to work before I got the update and now it just fails to play back any video file apart from SD. Tested with setting the video quality to something really low as well as disabling direct stream and direct play.

Looks like the Plex app is completely broken on this TV and unusable. Not holding my breath for an update either 😞

Hi there

As i mentioned in your other thread, unfortunately Sony has no control over the development/issues of the Plex app.  You will need to contact Plex directly in regards to issues you are experiencing.
