Sony a330 - Sometimes I press the button, and it just hangs!

Good day!

I'm running into a problem with my a330 where sometimes I'll press the button to take a picture and it just sits there, doing nothing!  I hold the button down, and maybe 6 seconds later it will take the picture.  Or it may just continue to hang.  Then at other times, it's fine.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Very frustrating.  Feels like one of those cheap cameras with a slow processor, where you can never get the shot you want right at that moment!

Can you let me know what settings you have on the camera at the moment i.e. manual or auto? Also, do you find that the camera becomes slow just after taking another shot i.e. when the camera is busy writing to the memory card?
