Hi,

I would suggest to use a Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV device to get more flexibility in terms of apps.

The TV itself does not allow the installation of apps.

I had this same problem... can't believe I made the mistake of buying the wrong tv. You can either buy a dongle like roko or google or amazon. Or you can connect your laptop via hdmi cable and view.

I'm not sure, the app might have been terminated on your TV for example. But you can find all supported apps in this article by Sony.
