topic HDTV channels missing in Other TVs

I have a new EX401 37" tv and have done the auto tune but several Freeview HD channels are missing eg:BBC1HD(channel 51),ITV HD(channel 50) and a few others.After the auto-tune I get a message saying I need a firmware update and this link:http://supportsony-europe.com/tv .This is a website that has links to other sites that have nothing to do with sony tv support.I can get these stations on a toshiba tv with the same aerial,so how do I get them on my Sony?Thanks for any help.

You have made a slight mistake when you read the web address. It's http://support.sony-europe.com/tv (note the dot between the word 'support' and 'sony'. Enter your exact model number on that page and you'll be able to get the firmware update and instructions on how to update your TV with it.

I don't think this model has a Freeview HD tuner....which would explain why.

I have a KDL-40EX401 tv and cant find any freeview hd channels

Can you tell me how you find them as sony store have told me it has no freeview hd tuner built in?
