Vista starting about 80-90 seconds and there are no additional programs running!!
I have sent it back to the tachnical servise but they said its normal???!!

do you have idea about this? Also I need to know the starting time for fz31z with vista... I think it should be about 30 seconds...

Thanks

Mine is also very slow (FZ31Z). For my case, the problem happens after I fresh install Vista Enterprise. After then the Vaio Control Center does not work properly and the Vaoi Events service close down now then. However, when I dont get the message that the "Vaio events service is closed" it runs perfectly and of course its fast. Please check if your events service is working properly.

Those temperatures aren't high at all! As the speed issue, SONY laptops have a LOT of bloatware which loads up everytime you boot Vista. To get the VAIO to run at the speed you expect from the specsheet you will need to do a clean install. Otherwise turn off all the things you can and enjoy!
