I couldn't click on anything and Ctrl+Alt+Del wouldn't work, so I just turned it off by holding the power button.<BR /><BR />But when I turned the laptop back on I got a screen saying "Windows is searching for files..." with a progress bar under it that only went up two thirds of the way before stopping for a while until I got a screen saying:<BR /> <BR /><I>Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.<BR /><BR />This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.<BR /><BR />If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.<BR /><BR />Status: 0xc00000e9<BR /><BR />Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.</I><BR /> <BR />The same thing happens if I choose the repair option on the F8 boot menu. But I wasn't using any external USB drives when I turned the laptop off.<BR /><BR />If I choose any other boot option, including Start Up Normally, it never starts up.
