Video card hardware update for Vaio TZ series

I have a Vaio VGN-TZ21WN. I was looking to add a desktop monitor at least 19" or more.

Perhaps over enthusiastically, I purchased a SAMSUNG 2233MB 22" monitor (1680 x 1050).

Unfortunately, this was a mistake as the picture quality is terrible. I use Excel mostly. The tool bar icons are enormous and blurred. The text and numbers in the cells have jagged edges and look even worse when the cell size ratio is reduced to 80 or 70%.

I've tried playing with all the resolution settings in the control panel to no avail. The maximum setting is 1366 x 768 Highest(32bit) with a refresh rate of 60Hz.

I also downloaded the latest driver for my notebook from Vaio spport. This didn't help either.

Does someone know a solution?

Do i need to update my video graphics card?
Is it possible update my grapics card?
Where can i get this done? (I live in London)
Is there a particular type of card to go for?

If the above is not possible, what type of monitor would work best with my Vaio to give me sharp picture quality?

Hi adeydavies and welcome.

You cannot change the graphics as they are a part of the Intel chipset and soldered in.

Is there anything in this thread that helps?
