My Viao no longer recognises the built in microphone, How do I fix this?

Which model Vaio do you have.?

Have you checked in Control Panel > Sound that the microphone is listed.?

Have you made any chenges since you last used your microphone.?

I am using a VPCS13L9E. I cheked control panel> sound and it said microphone is not plugged in. It is a built in micrphone. It worked this morning but then disappeared when I wen to try and configure Skype to get a better result.

I just thought it might pay to restart the laptop and that seems to have fixed the problem! Wish everything could be fixed like that.
