My keyboard has stopped working - Help!

Hi folksThe keyboard and trackpad on my Sony Vaio PCG-7181M laptop have stopped working, I've had to attach a USB keyboard to the laptop to be able to use it - can anyone out there help me?

I cannot tell what features your Vaio has because you are quoting an invalid model. Have a look on the screen surround for the correct model which will start with VGN- or VPC-

Some models have the facility to turn off the trackpad in Vaio Control Centre but as your keyboard has stopped working also, it is likely that a cable has become disconnected and you will need a repair.

Is your Vaio still within warranty?

Ah ... the model is VGN-NW21ZF.

I am no longer in warranty afraid.

I bought a VAIO but

Very often when typing the letters they don't appear on the screen or they come later, or I need to click the cursor to start to type again. All this make my work so slow.

Can anyone help? thanks
