Vaio VGN-CS21S does not stay on!

Hello,

please help, my Vaio does not stay on for more that a few minutes. The power pack seems to be working (green light on).

I have tried without battery or without the power lead and same problem.

Any ideas please?

Hi Coco,

Have you checked the CPU temperature?

I suggest you download a utility such as Pcwizard and report back.

Also can you hear the fan running?

thanks for the reply. I can't download anything. It does not stay on long enough!

The fan does not seem to be on. The laptop does not feel hot.

Hi Coralie,

If the fan is not operating, and you cannot feel any air movement from the vent, the chances are that the notebook will not feel hot as there is no heat dispersal.

I suggest that you contact one of the Sony Service Partners for advice and a repair quotation.
