If the green flash is not present on the external monitor it would suggest a problem with the notebook LCD screen.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="MsoNoSpacing"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: " arial=""&gt;If it is still present then enter the BOIS screen by tapping F2, at boot, when you see the Vaio logo.
