    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am upgrading my vaio RAM from 2GB to 4GB , When I put in the second&amp;nbsp; 2GB RAM in second slot and turn laptop on , the screen is black ,&amp;nbsp; pressing F2 to go into Bios does nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I remove the new RAM it works with 2GB,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is the situation&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have 2GB x 2 RAMs( Cruicial )Same brand same specs&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Slot A&amp;nbsp; --------------- Slot B&amp;nbsp; ------------&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Works ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2GB(stick1)&amp;nbsp; ----&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Empty&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ---------------Yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2GB (stick1) -----&amp;nbsp; 2GB (stick2) --------No (Black Screen + No vaio logo, cant go to BIOS)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Empty&amp;nbsp; -------------&amp;nbsp; 2GB(stick2) ---------No (Black Screen + No vaio logo, cant go to BIOS)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Empty&amp;nbsp; -------------&amp;nbsp; 2GB(stick1) ---------No (Black Screen + No vaio logo, cant go to BIOS)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2GB(stick2)&amp;nbsp; ----&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Empty&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ---------------Yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can not understand what's wrong here .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;both Sticks work independently in Slot A.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please help.. &lt;SPAN __jive_emoticon_name="sad"&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message was edited by: xs2ahmed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Message was edited by: xs2ahmed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;SPAN class="jiveTT-hover-user jive-username-link"&gt; xs2ahmed,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class="jiveTT-hover-user jive-username-link"&gt;from your comments if the RAM is not working when placed in slot B then I would guess that slot B may be faulty..:smileysad:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class="jiveTT-hover-user jive-username-link"&gt;You could see if a local PC repair specislaist to check this for you..&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you do not know of a local repair specialist then you could if you wish contact one of Sony's authorised repairers..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To find contact details..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Open Vaio support, either by clicking Support at the top of this page or use the following link:&lt;A href="http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/index.aspx?m=0&amp;amp;l=en_GB"&gt;Vaio support&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Under Log-in option 1: Enter your vaio models serial number, which you should find on the bottom of your Vaio.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then click Log-In&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once logged select Get In Touch&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then Click on the Out of Warranty tab to locate the nearest location.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
