I turned on my Vaio for the first time in like a week and a half due to being away on holiday, and then AVG came up with a pop up saying:

Threat: Trojan horse SCGeneric2.COQY

Object name: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vaio Care\Updatetrayicon.exe

I updated Avg and then in a few minutes time it came up again.

I checked Vaio Update and there is an update available for Vaio Care, version 8.4.6.05116 and this update came out on 07\08\2017. I have not downloaded this update.

I checked the support website and I couldn't find this update version anywhere! I even searched Google for this update version and I couldn't find anything! This version only shows in the Vaio Update app. Is this like a "fake update" or something since it doesn't appear on Sony's support downloads page?

I haven't yet decided what to do, I can either click protect me and avg will remove the threat or I can click ignore but then AVG will prevent me from accessing the infected file.
