Just updated Vaio update v 5 and now my help and support will not run, when selected it comes up with the error " Windows cannot open Help and Support because a system service is not running. To fix this problem, start the service named Help and support". How do I start the service named Help and support?

Try this: -

Start -> Right-click on My Computer -> Manage -> Expand 'Services and Applications' in the left-hand window of Computer Management and then select 'Services'.

You may have to resize the window but scroll down the list of Services in the right-hand box and find Help and Support. The status should be blank. Highlight this Service and right-click on it and choose Properties.

Under the General Tab, change the 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic' and click on the box 'Start' to start this service.

If for any reason this service is already set to automatic but is not running, check that 'Remote Procedure Call (RPC)' is set to Automatic and is started. Help and Support is dependent on this other service running before it will run itself.
