Hi Theng005,

You have given us very little to go on but can you try shining a torch on the monitor? Do you see a faint image?

Do you see any image when you boot the machine – Vaio logo?

Which Vaio model do you have and is it still under warranty?

Hi Rich912,

At the begining, there is some faint image, but now there is nothing appeared, just a black screen when i turn on the computer. However, there is still turn on sound can be heard.

This computer has been purchased since 4 years ago, and that's the reason why it is not under warranty anymore.

Besides, the mode of the computer is VGC-LA2

Hi Theng005,

When a faint image can be seen it usually indicates an inverter/backlight problem, but if you are now seeing nothing at all then it could be that you need a screen replacement. At worst you could have a faulty graphics chip which would require a new motherboard.

I suggest that you contact one of Sony service partners for a repair quotation.
