Take cash 4 trash Sony.., I won't buy anything from sony agian. The want to "play" everywhere, Phone, Camera, Playstation, Headphones etc., no wonder the products are of low quality..

I switched to Apple at my phone, nearly a year a go now. I paid much but I don't regret it, thats the fact.

I bought the Sony Xperia trash 3 compact for 400 bucks. Big mistake. Phone was useless after 4 weeks, Mini Jack broken... fixed... mini jack broken again (5 weeks) ?! -> bought an Iphone, still happy not any problem till now

The Sony trash 3 compact was in use for 3 or 4 Months !!

SO MY IPHONE WAS CHEAPER it's also still in use...

"We'll fix your Phone, Sir, send it to repair." Yey, have no Phone for weeks 'cause I bought the trash Sony has selled. H E L L , I like things like that. Send a brand new Phone in repair after 4 Weeks and send it in repair again after a few more !!!!

Also my PS4 is trash ! Truns down for NO REASON. Got this from first day I bought the trash.

ALSO WONT TURN ON AFTER. HAVE TO PULL OFF THE CABLE & WAIT FEW SECONDS.

H E L L , send your brand new PS4 to repair for weeeeks, noo i won't get it replaced.

IT WAS IN USE FOR AN HOUR, HAAHAHA. I'll have to wait weeks for an less as one day old PS4.

!! Never again Sony !!

Also the free games in PS Store are unknown to me & trash. Dowloaded 1 free game since two years, played 10 minutes and it was trash, like much else.

Remake everthing - Remake Sony and REMAKE PS4

!! I'm going to switch to the new Xbox Gen. they will release this year !!

PS3 was lit...

I bought my Z3 Compact a couple of months back and i absolutely love it! But i've recently been having a huge problem with the minijack port. It started about a month ago where i would lose the sound/ sound fading on one ear whenever i came near the plug, eventually the phone would no longer register that my headphones were plugged in. At first i thought it had to be my headphones, but after testing these with every gadget in the house and testing all my other headphones with the phone i realized that it was the phone that was faulty.

So i contacted my retailer and had them get the phone fixed. I was told that they changed the motherboard, and two weeks later i had it back fully working. Now, a week after i got it back, i'm experiencing the same problems once again... I can't really be this unlucky, is this a known problem? I read that other Z3 owners had been experiencing problems with the minijack port being "loose" and disconnecting their headphones?

@Thommo

I'm normally using Sennheiser CX 300 II, but the same problems occur when i plug in the Sony plugs that came with the phone. So i don't know... And yeah, i should try contacting Xperia Care. I'd like to return the phone and get a new one if i could but i'm affraid they would have to send it to repair again.

@il_vecio

I'm not saying that it was a motherboard failure, but according to the service report, they did replace the motherboard. As for which week of production my phone is, i'm not sure. How do i check that? I bought it early in october though.

Dear Molorinko, please have a read to this topic , you'll find a post of mine in which i show how to get the week of production (by the way it's a label located under the SIM tray).

talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3-Compact/Sudden-Death-of-Sony-xperia-Z3-Compact/td-p/877345/page/8

it seems that there Is a strange correlation between certains weeks of production and some known device failure

I've been owning the Z3 Compact for only one month. A few days ago, I experienced music stopping after a few seconds and I thought of a hardware problem… Tried many things, tested other headphones or speakers but I still had the problem.

Currently, the only way for my phone to play music on the jack port is to press on it which comforts me in my hypothesis that the jack is defective

I contacted Xperia Care and I am waiting to send them my phone.

This is not wear and tear - a search on various forums shows users all over the world having this exact issue. It has just recently happened to me.

Basically, even new the earphone port was slightly loose (you can see the black part move around inside), however, it works fine initially.

After a few weeks/months depending on usage, the issues will start. For some people, they get it fixed and it will happen again in time.

You'd think Sony would fit a re-designed earphone module rather than just replacing the motherboard when the same problem could arise again.

I guess for them its the cheaper alternative as its the end user who lives with the inconvenience of losing their phone for up to 3-4 weeks and then having to restore all your settings. In my case the spare phoen i have is not nano-sim, so ill also have to find a sim adaptor.

I'm now waiting for my third Z3C to arrive from Sony, assuming O2 can't fix the problem.

I called Sony yesterday to ask why they don't acknowledge the issue, but they said that it was just coincidence that we all seem to be having the same fault.

If I get another handset and it happens again, I'll be on to trading standards. Maybe they'll listen to customers (on their own forum) then.

Just started having the same problem yesterday. Have had the z3 compact for about 3 months. Listen to music on my commute to and from work every day and keep the phone in my pocket. Sound pauses when I just slightly touch the headphone plug as if I unplugged the headphone. Mine is 15W4 so even after feedback from other users no improvements in production. This can only be a HW problem, I'll bet a z3 for it...
