Like other android phone same applies for xperia z.

To take screenshot, hold power button and volume down button simultaneously.

power & volume down (at the same time) = screenshot

power & volume up (hold it for 5-7 seconds) = will restart the phone

It is not working...and there is this clip manager which can be used to get a screen shot but this is cumbersome

Power + Vold down does not work and is very fiddly anyway.

While trying this I found that the volume setting changed as well !!!!

What was wrong with the old method of power button, then select "screen shot"???????

Bring back the old feature.

how can I roll back to the version that worked?

thanks this option disapper on the 4.2.2 update, and with the long press combo volume down and power button works ok.

You have to press the power and volume down buttons at exactly the same time.

it worked perfectly fine, it gets FHD screenshots 1920*1080, nice feature. Just hold power and down volume for 2 or 3 secs and VIOALA your screen is in your album...

I am sorry some of you are having trouble with this, however to expand one something mentioned earlier in this thread you can use the min app. function to capture a screenshot as well via these steps: Mini App Button (bottom right corner of screen) > Tap the upwards pointing arrow in the bottom left corner > Active Clip.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

It's only like the iPhone, having to use two hands and this was you don't need to take you finger/thumb off the button to tap the screen to select what you want. In my book it's a more logical way to go TumBear. Not ridiculous* at all. If you dislike it that much, get a more basic phone, Motorola Razor, Samsung Toco perhaps?
